The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that commences on 25th November that calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls (‘VAWG’). It begins on 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10th December, Human Rights Day. During the 16 Days, UN Women encourages people across the globe to orange the world. As a bright and optimistic colour, orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls.
